Letters You'll Never
When Hollister Clothing Company asked Kirk Medland for new music to feature on the Hollister website, Kirk responded with "Letters You'll Never Send." An EP full of hits, each track is unique--with retro flashes of The Cure and Billy Joel. Kirk crafted the songs in Chicago--they were produced by Sterling and the Magic Table. The tracks were taken to analog tape and mastered by Eric Yoder at Horsedrawn Studios. "Letters You'll Never Send" was released on Valentine's Day of 2008 and you will love it.

After “Letters You’ll Never Send,” Kirk Medland continues to refine his sound. “I Want To Be With You” illustrates how Kirk’s music is informed by great artists from the other side of the pond. With a respectful nod to the Brit-pop and electro-dance sounds of the 1980’s, Kirk presents a powerful and memorable chorus–this is a sound made for movement.
Kirk recorded the track in Austin, Texas with producer Oakdale 3B. To complete a perfect mixture, Kirk picked Chicago artist Julia Kay to perform on both the single and the remix versions. Before the song was released on iTunes, “I Want To Be With You” was selected to accompany the Hollister “Epic” casting video
